Texas can build on its success and plan for the future by investing in public schools and improving workplace conditions. making life easier for small business owners. Workers comp claims are expected to drop once Texans have access to health insurance, We need our government to protect hardworking Texans through enforcement of existing regulations so we can avoid catastrophes like the fertilizer explosion in West. Women should receive equal pay for the work they do -- not only is it an issue of basic fairness, but many of those women are single mothers who are choosing to work over asking for government assistance.

Let's make working a viable option for them. We cannot in one breath complain that people are too quick to reach for welfare dollars and at the same time refuse to pay them a fair wage for the work they are willing to do! P.S. It's a myth that democrats want to introduce a state income tax. Our state constitution forbids it until the voters decide otherwise.
